Though we were fortunate enough to capture some great moose images on our recent visit to Rocky Mountain National Park, I don’t want to overlook the many great elk shots garnered from that visit. The moose is a much more elusive animal and thus harder to capture good close-up shots of while the elk seems to be ambivalent to the presence of humans right out in the open. The elk will go about their business in spite of a large gathering of spectators and photographers within easy sight. That’s not saying elk are anything other than wild. It’s just a lot easier to spot and photograph them.
As I continue to make my way through the collection of several hundred photos both my wife and I shot on our visit to the park, selected ones which are deemed suitable for including in the print lineup are added. By the way, if you have not yet seen any of the ones I am offering for sale, here’s a link to the page featuring them. Nature in Photography Ready for framing Photography Prints I added two more today. Bull elk in their natural environment. You know, as I think about it, with a little more exposure to wildlife photography in natural settings, zoo photography, that is, capturing images of such animals in a captive environment is likely to lose what little appeal it’s ever had. Just saying……

These are available in all six size formats I offer allowing for choices in frame size and format. Just like all of the others available, these come with a 1/8 inch border around the edges allowing for frame overlap while losing the least amount of the scene.
